Jackall goes spying
Jackall has released a new bait that is to be used for the new ultra finesse spybaiting technique. It has been a very popular technique used in Japan and is finally starting to be implemented by anglers in North American waters. Spybaiting is used in ultra clear water situations where the fish are able to see the bait. The iProp 75 is a prop style bait that resembles a top water prop style bait but do not let the appearance fool you. This bait does not float....it sinks ! The iProp is 3 inches in length, weighing in at 3/10 of an ounce. So it needs to be fished on light lines of 4 - 8 lb test line. Make a long cast, let it sink and count it down to your desired depth then retrieve at a slow but steady retrieve. The twin props work in tandem to keep the bait horizontal through the strike zone. The props produce turbulence and flash to the fish when on the move. You will notice that the two hook hangers are strategically place on the belly of the iProp so the hooks do not interfere with the props while in motion. The iProp is available in 7 natural looking colours. Can not wait to try out spybaiting on some big Canadian smallmouth this summer.

Craig, I was really pumped when I saw that Jackall was coming out with this bait. Even better is that Jackall has also come out with a rod for Spybaiting. As you say I can't wait to try this biat on some good smallies and I hear that it really works well on large mouth.

Interesting, I'm going to have to keep an eye out for these.
