Ottawa Sportsman Show

Had a great time at the Ottawa Sportsman Show helping at the Minto Casting Pond teaching the kids how to cast for prizes. And also doing a couple of seminars on Fishing with Kids. Explaining the importance of keeping it simple and fun for them. By using some of the new Rapala and Storm lures, this can be accomplished as they have built in action, which makes it easy and fun for the kids because they will be able to catch more fish. The new Scatter Rap Minnow with it's aggressive, evasive and erratic sweeping action because of it's new lip design which works just by reeling it back to you The new BX Jointed series Minnow has the lively, floating and responsive action of our balsa lure, but offers the rugged and unbeatable toughness of a plastic lure, with it's unbelievable action. Storm has a new ARASHI lure and it's new built in action is because of the free moving line tie which makes the lure fight to get back to center and has an unseen action until now. Be sure to give these new lures a try this season and you'll catch more fish. Have a safe and fun fishing season.

Hi John, It's great to see that you still take time to teach kids about the fun of fishing, and like you said, it's the little things that can make it fun. My grandsons still talk about out their fishing trip years ago with you in the Kawarthas. In addition to the simple things, and having fun, you left them with valuable memories. Memories that will play a key role in whether they will continue to fish. So on behalf of Kenny and Jamie, thanks for the memories. We need more John Sedgwicks in the fishing industry. Bill Thompson
