7’ medium action spinning rod

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely LOVE this rod. Last year I became a Prostaff member for Carrot Stix and I have never looked back. I use this particular rod for all of my finesse fishing applications while tournament fishing for largemouth bass from my kayak. The sensitivity of this rod is unmatched not to mention the awesome castability and how lightweight this thing is. I have used this rod for everything from largemouth when there is money on the line to flounder, speckled trout, and red drum when fishing inshore. You WILL NOT be disappointed!!! I personally have my rod paired with a 13 fishing creed spinning reel and the whole combination weighs just a little over half a pound. This may not seem like a big deal to most, but when your tournament success may fully rely on how many casts you can make in a day to find those larger class fish being lightweight can be both a lifesaver and a shoulder saver.

Awesome rods

These rods are great!!!! They are very light weight. Very sensitive so you can feel everything. I have a pair of 7' ML wild wild black rods. They are very strong and help get those fish back to the boat!!!!!

Micro-Guides

The micro-guides are easily the best part of this spinning rod. The only drawback for this model is the tendency to get line wrapped around the hook keeper due to the wide swooping nature of a spinning reel. Be mindful to get very low memory line for the straightest entry/exit. As for sensitivity...couldn't ask for more. With the right reel/line selection, this is a very serviceable rod.

Great rod

I have been using a c2wz-mwg-701ml-f-s and was impressed with the micro-wave guide that is in this rod's eyelet. Helps keep the line straight for a more steady cast. The only issue is with the rod's hook holder on the top of the rod. Line sometimes gets caught on it when casting. Even though the shaft of the rod seems more rigid then any of my past rods, I do feel my bait, jigs and various textures of lake bottom quite well. So after getting used to that, I do love the sensitivity of it. I also enjoy how light weight it feels. A very exceptional rod for both its price range and quality.

I've had my Wild Wild Black in my boat now for 1 week, I love how I can rig this rod with multiple set ups and its performance is on par with any other rod I've used. Whether I'm throwing cranks, trolling, jigging, bottom bouncing, or rip jigging through weed beds this rod performs flawless. The lightweight of the rod allows for a sensitive tip and you can feel your lure or bait extremely well, I have 3 Carrot Stix and will be buying many more!

I have been rigging my 6'9" medium as a live bait rig for walleyes. The rod is sensitive and provides a great back bone for hook sets. Rod delivers great handling and like other Carrot Stix I own is lightweight and comfortable. Great series of rods from a great company.
