“Kaku” is Hawaiian for Barracuda. The West Central Coast of Florida is made up of beautiful beaches, barrier islands, bayous, rivers, amazing flats fishing and beautiful crystal clear waters. Its an anglers, spear fisherman, snorkeling, diving and kayaking paradise. In this area is a town called Tarpon Springs, the Sponge Diving capital of the world. This is where the creators of Kaku Kayak and Castaway Kayak come from. This is where the idea for our kayaks and paddle boards were born. The idea for this bold, new kayak and paddle board company was thought of in 2008 and has been a long process to finally be ready to launch in 213.
