REVIEW: Daiwa Tatula CT Type R

Keepin'it Reel and taking a detailed look at the successor to the very popular Daiwa Tatula; here we have the Tatula CT. This happens to be the crazy souped up, all out, "racing" variant called the Type R!! Actually....the improvements over the base model CT are subtle at best. In either case, the new CT takes the proven formula of a solid, smooth, and reliable reel that was the original Tatula and just scaled it down a bit into the smaller CT. If you liked the Tatula, but just wished it was smaller and easier to palm then you are in luck. Performance wise I'm very pleased with this new model. The trademark T-Wing system affords real advantage in use (particularly in pitching). The price of the new CT models is coming in LESS than the original Tatula's as well. All in all if your in the market for a new "do everything" reel I think this new generation of Tatulas is definitely worth a look.
