I've been fishing as a hobby for all of my life. I grew up in Ohio as a catfish lover, mostly fishing at night. I moved to Maryland three years ago, and we aren't allowed to night fish most places I have been here. I still love chasing cats, but I've taken up bass fishing over the last couple of years. I am becoming a lot more serious with it because I have had a blast so far. I fish left handed with a spinning reel, and right handed with a casting reel. Due to starting a family and having limited funding I am limited to bank fishing, but I don't think that makes me any less of an angler. In my three years here in Maryland I have tested over 100 fishing holes. I travel as far as I need to, then hike to the spot I like best, no matter how far it may be. I feel like I have some learning to do still, but I think I would hold my own in a competition. I plan to start fishing them a lot more this season.
