I am an avid tournament and recreational angler. I began tournament bass fishing at the age of 12 with my father, but put the rod down from competitive fishing while in university. We were competitive in the local tournament scene, won a few and grabbed some second and third place finishes.
3-4 years ago I began tournament fishing again in the local circuits with an excellent partner. With the same partner, we have won 2 tournaments and have always had consistent placings in the top 10 with a number of top 5 placings.
At team anglers (both of us are named Adam), we have been wanting to expand the scope of tournaments to really test how we may fair out against some of the more pro-grade anglers in the province and possibly the country. We are both highly versatile anglers and in most tournaments weigh in mixed bags of large and smallmouth bass when most of the fleet only targets one of the other.
Aside from tournament fishing I recently rekindled my love affair with fly-fishing and have been targeting smallmouth and largemouth bass. I spend most of my summer hours on the Ottawa River and have been teaching my daughter some of the basic skills of bass fishing.
