Rapids, MN area. I consider Grand Rapids a fisherman's paradise with a large number and variety of lakes/species to target. College brought me to Duluth, MN where my love of Lake Superior began. I now am a weekly visitor to the big lake. Fishing nets from shore, ice, my Lund Pro Guide or the back of Relentless (www.duluthsportfishing.com). I now primarily target lake trout and salmon while on Superior. After college my wife and I were fortunate enough to get a cabin on Lake Vermilion near Tower, MN. Vermilion is a premier musky lake and has created an obsession. I love chasing the buckets full of teeth and now do it in Minnesota, Canada and Wisconsin. In the winter I chase crappies, but my true calling is pulling big greasy lake trout through a 10" hole in the ice. I love fighting the elements and putting in the work for these ferocious predators. I spend my time chasing the big ones in the Atikokan, ON area and on Lake Superior when conditions allow. I am a cold weather, bad weather guy. I bought a tiller just because I like to be cold and feel the water on my face. My boat is typically in the water by the end of March a month or so before the "regular fishermen" get theirs out. I thrive on it. I have recently begun doing tournaments without any great showings, but plan to add each year and hopefully put something on the resume. I have surrounded myself with others who like to fish and I'm the fishing nut in the group. Hide
