Lake Guntersville Report 3/18-3/20

We are currently experiencing some post frontal conditions. 3/18/2015 we arrived around 2:30pm and began fishing right away. Found success with strike king kvd jerkbaits in pro blue color on main lake points. Caught 15 on three different points with one going 4.15 lbs. Next, we moved into a shallow pocket and only caught one, but it was a good one, weighing in at 5.6 lbs on a chartreuse and white Chatterbait. The day ended with a few more keepers, best 5 went 19.5lbs. On 3/19/2015, the day started slow. Only boated a few small keepers in the morning on football jigs in 6-8 fow on transition banks with lay downs on them. The afternoon however the bite turned on. Caught 12 keepers in 3 hours along with multiple other short fish. All afternoon fish came on a Rapala shadow rap jerkbait in green shiner. Biggest that evening was 6.8 lbs and that fish was caught on 3 fow on the jerkbait. 3/20/2015 however was not so pleasant. Cold front conditions definitely turned the fish off. Only a few keepers for the day with the biggest being 3.11lbs. All fish today were caught on jigs and dbombs pitched to visible cover and docks and the fish were holding tight to the cover.
