May 2015, Lake Okeechobee recap
The Month of May on Lake Okeechobee. The fish seemed to be moving all around with the funky weather patterns distorting water color in areas on a daily basis making one spot hot for a day and bad for the next. Pick up and go was the key until you find that right water clarity. Pitching weightless senkos into moving water columns near floating isolateds was working early mornings. Mid day some of the better fish would come out into the shallow fields looking for blue gill on the beds, swimjig was the ticket. The frog bite seemed to turn on come late afternoons after the storms have rolled through dragging over hydrilla fields. The Flip bite was an all day thing working thick vegatation. Handfuls of 6+ up to 8's were caught this month. Go Enjoy some great fishing and get out to the "Big O" Tightlines my friends.
