Recap of Salmon A Rama
Sunday July 19th at 11am marked the end of another season of salmon a rama. I was lucky enough to stick a 16lb chinook and a 9lb lake trout to secure 14th place for the salmon slam out of 40 boats. I also placed 3rd in the perch division. The past nine days had many ups and downs including loosing two chinooks in the 20lb class the very first night but I fought threw high winds and waves for one of the best tournamts I've ever had. It's always fun seeing progression while fishing tournaments. Last year I was knocking on a few money spots but this year I cashed in two divisions. It was interesting to see what the winning fish had in its stomach though. A 25lb laker took first and when a tournament committee member cut the stomach open to check for cheating there was a partially digested 12" lake trout.
