Success with Mighty Mitch & Jungle Joe's Jigflies

If your a trout fanatic, give this a read. I've been quite a big fan of these jigs for some time now. This is a company run by father & sun duo, Joe & Mitch Kostecki, out of small town Terrace Bay, Ontario. Terrace Bay is located in the heart of Lake Superior, near some of the finest local trout fishing destinations. I've had the pleasure of watching MM&JJ grow from being sold in local tackle shops of my hometown of Thunder Bay, Ontario, expanding all over Ontario & to big fishing destinations such as British Columbia & the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. I've had plenty of success with the jigs over the years, but trout fishing has always been where they shined the most. Spring, Summer, Fall, & Winter, the jigs have reeled in fish on my trips the entire year around. Come Spring, I like to use bright & colorful Jigflies casting the shores of Lake Superior, in search of some of the most beautiful Steelhead in the North Shore area. This is my favorite time of year to break out the Jigflies. They work best when the fish are staging and haven't yet moved up into the rivers. The weather & timing will be key, but, if you find the Steelhead, this will always get them to bite. Give this a try & you wont leave disappointed. During the Summer months MM&JJ can be thrown on the lake for just about any specie of fish. I've had success catching them with Bass, Walleye, Whitefish & Northern Pike. But as always, the Trout love them the most during this time. Work the shorelines shallower or casting during the earlier stages of summer. Move out deeper & work the bottom during the hot later stages. Lake Trout will love them. Terrace Bay & the surround area of the North Shore is also known for spectacular Brook Trout fishing. Owners of MM&JJ have proven the success of their jigs by tagging hundreds of beautiful Coaster Brook Trout each year out of Terrace Bay on Lake Superior. Just an hour from Terrace Bay is home to the mighty famous Nipigon River & Lake Nipigon; where you will find world class trout fishing. The world record Brook Trout 14.5 lbs, was caught by J.W Cook 1915 on the Nipigon River. Give these jigs a whirl here & you'll be on to some of the biggest & most beautiful Brook Trout in the area!
