Amazing Trout Recipe

While i'm more of one to be writing about fishing rather than about recipes, i'm impatiently waiting to get back onto the ice. I've made trout any way you can think of. Here is one of my favorite recipes for Lake Trout. I found this recipe online awhile back and changed a few things. This is a to-die-for must try recipe for all you trout fisherman out there. Ingredients: 1 1/2 cup bread crumbs 1 clove of garlic smashed 1 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning A pinch or two of crushed red pepper flakes 3 lemons juiced and 1 lemon zested and reserved Salt and Pepper 1/2 cup Dijon mustard ( If you don't have this, try mixing mustard and brown sugar until you get the right taste, works just as well ) 4 filets of trout 10 to 12 oz skin removed Oil for cooking Butter Directions: Combine bread crumbs, garlic, italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, zest of 1 lemon, salt and pepper to taste. In small bowl mix together dijon mustard and juice of one lemon. Coat both sides of the trout with this mixture. Now coat both sides of the trout with the bread crumbs and press firmly to ensure it sticks well. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F Fill 1/2 of oil into a large skillet on medium-high heat. Add fish to pan and cook about 7 minutes turning carefully on each side. Reserve fish in the oven to keep warm. Remove oil from pan let cool and wipe down. Add the rest of the lemon juice and about 4-5 tablespoons of butter. Keep stirring this as it melts. Add salt and pepper to taste. Transfer the fish to plate and drizzle with lemon butter sauce. MMM, i'm sure you'll love this as much as I do. Now back to Fishing!
