A Recent Adventure

Ocean fishing locally has been quite slow, so slow that it hasn't been worth it to spend the time and effort to be out there all day. I love being out on the boat and kicking back in the sun but you can only do that so many times with little to no salmon to show for it. I am a little concerned... So, I took advantage of a healthy salmon run. A few days ago I decided to join the crowd for some pinks on the fly. They are coming in hot! All fish were caught and released. They took my own tied fly which is a blue handlebar fly, pearlesscent tail and a green bead head. This is a very simply yet productive fly. I enjoy single hand classic casting and luckily this spot allows room for my desire. It was a productive and fun summer afternoon I would say!
