Slow Start....But Good Day
It was a slow start to the morning as I struggled to find a school of active fish as the sky cracked with daylight catching only 2 fish. I made a change and moved shallow to the back of a major creek arm. I didn't whack 'em in there, but I did gain some momentum catching 5 with one being a solid 3+ pounder. Then, I made another move to check a "summer hangout" on a creek channel turn in a creek arm. And boom!! Multiple schools of bass were active and feeding at various depths in the water column. I worked this area for a good while catching 19 and having a ton of fun. The Black Label Balsa Tease, an old school Berkley popper, and a 3" finesse swimbait did the work.
