Smallmouth Bass Trip 2015
Just got home a week ago from the annual smallmouth trip I take every year with a few friends. The people who come with me vary from year to year but I always make time for it! It's about a 750 kilometre drive to this lake, the closest one to home with bass of any kind in it, but it's 100 percent worth the effort for the chance to fish for these beauties. We caught dozens of bass including many over 18", and I managed three at 20", pretty respectable for the most northerly smallmouth lake in the world, at least that I'm aware of. We also caught hundreds of small pike which filled in the spaces between bass and provided us with supper each night. Great trip, can't wait for next year!
