BM Southwesterns Lake Erie

Was a bit nervous about the Niagara River this past weekend out of Chippawa.Never thought I would deliberately be that close to the Falls on purpose.My buddy Steve Hawkins and I did this past weekends Bass Mania Tournaments out of Chippawa.Two great events and Congrats to Andy,Vita and there staff for a well run weekend.Could not have asked for better wind conditions for 3 days in a row. Thanks MOTHER NATURE.We had a great weekend finishing 4th on Saturday,8th on Sunday. We were fortunate enough to catch a monster Smallmouth on Saturday that tip the scales at 7.45 LBS.I was using a Crucial 7'-2" medium heavy rod and a Stradic 2500FJ spooled with 10Lb power pro white line(pretty much the only color line these old eyes can see anymore)to 8LB Berkley Vanish. The fish came on a dropshot on none other than a SLAMMER. Thanks again to Mark Kulik,GREAT BAITS BUDDY. Thanks to all those who showed up to fish this past weekend . To those who couldnt make it you are missing out on a great fishery. We caught fish from 6 feet to 45 deep with most coming deeper.We are off to St. Clair in a couple weeks where I hear the fall fishing is 2nd to none.CAN'T WAIT.
