Little Bay DeNoc

Been awhile since I've posted here but as I do have friends here and a few businesses relationships here. Took the win on on Bay DeNoc this past weekend with over 49 pounds for two days. Have to say this past weekend was by far the best smallmouth fishing I have ever experienced. I spent practice graphing and did very little fishing. Basically I was looking for rock I idled all day and found four areas that set up well. As it turns out I only needed one. Took about an hour to get my first bite but only an hour and a half to get my day one bag. A Carolina Rig with a one once weight thrown on 17 pound P-line main line with a 12 pound leader. A Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craw in green pumpkin when it was cloudy and a green pumpkin with purple flake when it was sunny. I also used a All-Terrain Tackle football jig in 3/4 ounce tipped with a speed craw. 9 out of ten fish that went to the scales came on the C Rig. My spot, basically I held the boat in 35 foot and would cast up to 20 and drag to the deep water rocks. There was a big sand patch between the rock and grass that came out to about 15 feet. I could catch them in the deep rock but with the zebra mussels I broke off to many. By focusing on the sand I was able to keep my bait on the bottom and not knick my line as much. Key thing was to move the bait slow and I mean slow. Most of the time I never felt the bite just pressure as big fish tend to just suck the bait in. Had 24.88 on day one and 24.5 on day two. Was done by 9:30 on day one and 11:00 on day two. I lost a lot of fish on day two that might have helped but in the end it did not matter as I won by four pounds.
