I had a quick trip down there and had an opportunity to fish one day on the Pacific side earlier this week. We caught some Pacific mackerel and bonita which we live trolled up the shoreline towards Nicaragua. The young fish would readily chase a fly just outside the surf zone and the big fish went for a live bonita about 30 feet deep (65 ft of water). I had always wanted to see a big rooster fish and I got to check one off my bucket list!
