Spent the day on the French River yesterday. Caught several walleye and most averaged 20"+. Caught a few on jigs but a bottom bouncer with a 6' lead with a silver blade and pink float with minnow was the ticket. The fish were shallow 4-7ft. Hit current areas and wind swept bays with cabbage. It was a great day. We were there to honor an infamous guide and previous lodge owner Larry Henderson who sadly passed last December. He was truly looking out for us. However I blew a wheel bearing on the trailer on the way home. Try to find parts on a long weekend.
