Fishing The North outdoor Column Cancelled

When Covid first started, Timmins Today decided on forcing their efforts into covering all news-related information that was being released for their readers, so they put my column on hold until things started to get back to normal. After reaching out to them last week, today I received an email from Timmins Today stating that at this point, they will be heading in a different direction with their columns and have declined on continuing featuring the Fishing The North column. Although it is disappointing, I have to say that it was a great privilege to have been given this column by Mr. Mike Young, the owner then of Timmins Today. When he offered me the column, I told Mike that I always said that if ever had an article, I would promote the Timmins and Area, the anglers, outdoors organizations, and the Northern Ontario Walleye Trail, which he thought was a great idea. After Mike sold the Timmins Today to Village Media, they were gracious in keeping the Fishing The North column. I want this time to thank everyone that has taken part in having their stories, events, and bio's down. It was pretty humbling to have met so many amazing people, covered some children's fishing events and outdoor projects/seminars, and had the opportunity to write for some tourism websites about the fishing/hunting opportunities in the Timmins and Area during these last ten years.
