What a way to spend the Canada weekend These past weekend last minute my partner and I steve delyea decided to fish the CSFL rice lake even on Saturday. So I called Friday afternoon to register to get in. So the night before we sat down and went over the game plane and we knew we had to stick to it. We were boat 59 to blast of so we had some time to get ready and mentally pre pair for the event well how we pre pair is by keeping it lively in the boat with a few morning jokes. So it was time in line ready to blast off Steve put the hammer down and a way we went. As we touched down on the first spot it seemed others were nearby so we knew we only had a few minutes to fish the spot before the bite would stop. Steve's first cast boom I hear drag he yells for the net and boom first fish in the boat. Well it sort of slowed down on that spot for us so we moved. It seemed to be the run and gun technique with every spot we touched down at we would pick up a reasonable fish. We never gave up running around all day in the high winds just looking for those good bites. But at the end of the day we knew we fished are hardest and gave it all we could. Wieghing in 17.67 mixed bag largemouth and small mouth bass, coming in tied for 2 nd place.
