3rd Place Pitching Swimbait Jig Sturgeon Lake

Just fished our CBAF Sturgeon Lake event on Saturday and was it ever a fun day. First of all want i want to thank Rich Jenkins for being my partner and making it a fun day on the water. Caught tons of fish both largies and smallies on the lunkerhunt pitching jig using a swimbait as the chunk. Dunking weedbeds, pads , and rocks. We managaged to catch lots of fish and ending up in 3rd place with 13lbs and change. Unfortunatly we had blown a coil in the engine around 11.am so we were forced to idle back toward check in point and just fish the river. lots of fish came on the jig and the frog aswell. The pitching jig with the swimbait has been a real go-to bait for me this year and producing numerous and quality size strikes. The bait has alittle bit slower of a fall then normal jigs due to the swimming action of the swim bait. Bass cant resist the action of it and chomp down on them. Definitly give this combo a try and you will absolutly put more fish in the boat. Also i use this combo up at the cottage on Balsam and always bring in a nice few for some pictures and release.! Cheers!

Congrats Ryan! Nice fish and great combo, I love a big plastic on a jig to slow down the fall. Ive been pitching a goby grub with my jig but I like the idea of bulking it up even more, may have to give this one a go over the weekend.
