Hardwater Action

So this year was my first year of getting into ice fishing. I set out a couple of times on lake simcoe with a buddy and both times went very well. This morning the weather was aweful but we still made the trek out and it was on fire. We slammed over 50 jumbo perch ranging from 10 to almost 14 inches and even saw bigger roaming around. All the fish you see in the picture were still alive from a livewell and were released safely in the water shortly after. Another cool thing was we even saw a massive 40+ norther lurking through our whole and it spooked the perch away for a little while. I even lost a big bass last time we were out which was also pretty cool. Getting in these weed beds you really dont know whats you're getting youseld into and so far its been a major success. At the end of the day we were beyond pleased with the outcome and will be back out soon for more! im in search for a monster jumbo to catch soon so be ready its coming. Good luck to everyone else battling the storms and I cant wait for whats to come this year. keep the rods bent
