Big Largie Loners

In the last several years I have really found that big bass meaning fish in the 4-6lb range are very much loners at least Largemouth Bass! This is what I do to try to catch these individual bass! I try to find cover usually a stump fallen tree or rock pile away from the hustle and bustle of the traffic of boats and fisherman and don't be afraid to go shallow I mean shallow!! These big fish usually females will use this as there home base and not travel far, I will use my graph to search for such spots or if water clarity permits just put the trolling motor down and look! One definite key is to be near the main Lake or deeper water ! When you find these areas even if there's not a fish on it save that spot and always come back and try again, one very important detail is not to get to close when fishing it make a long cast and hold on if there there it's usually an immediate bite as these fish are very aggressive and are set up to feed there. Next time your out give it a try and good luck!
