Late Fall Shallow Patterns

One of favorite times of the year to chase Largemouth and Smallmouth bass is late fall! I mean late when most put there boats away we put on warm clothing and head out! I use these 2 patterns which can pay big divedends. I first always fish for Largemouth LOL! All who know me know that to be true! I find the shallow bays located close to main Lake structure, one key is look for bait! if you don't see Shad/shiners/Perch/Bluegills keep searching. I try to find ambush points grass matts that are still green reed heads and Hydrilla! I will use 17-20lb Suffix Flourocarbon, on Med Heavy to Heavy Rapala Concept Ti Rod and matching reel. I will always start with my go to Anglers Choice Flapping Craw or Flapping Weasel! I love the dark colours Green Pumpkin Black/Blue. The Second deal is the Smallmouth deal! Its a love hate relationship with these guys! I do the same go shallow! I start about 2ft and go to about 7 but here is the key for me, look for large flats with contour lines and depressions close to deeper water! I will throw moving swimbait's and swim jigs to locate fish, then slow down once I find them.I then switch to a Jerk bait or a dropshot rig with a Anglers Choice 4.0 Crosshair or a 3.0 Killshots. Try these tips out on your favorite Lake It can be an aweome way ro fish.
