Hot Start on a Cold Morning
With an amazing sunrise and an abundance of fog on this 40 degree morning the conditions seemed as if they could not have been better, and the fish agreed. From first cast at 7:05 to final at 2:50, we pulled in fish the entire day without ceasing, the only problem was they all were 14-14 1/2" on a 15" limit. We ended up with our small five, and actually won the small tournament we were in. Apparently the other anglers were having either the same issue as us, or were simply not catching fish at all. I have not had this much fun catching fish in a while, and I was blessed to do it with Carrot Stix Wild Wild Black and Wild Wild Orange rods rigged with Ardent reels! I am thankful to be a part of these brands. Now time to get my shipment of SmartBaits in to start catching even more fish!
