I love Brown Trout

Today was just one of thos days where we had to bite the bullet and brave the strong south winds, it was hell controlling the boat but we managed to catch fish. Most of you would agree this has been a very odd winter and it's totally messing up my trout fishing, I don't care too much about the temperature but the winds have been brutal causing the lake to go chocolate milk and then finally when it starts clearing we get another warm front with strong south winds again. A well accomplished NPS pro joined me on the boat today and we had a great time picking off the browns with the odd small rainbow and walleye. It was last minute decision when I called Steve Delyea last night about the browns and it was a simple decision as he was all over it! It was let's go fishing in this stupid wind today or we have to wait another week or two before it maybe clears. So off we go. Because of the heavy winds we where forced to bottom bounce with at least a 1once weights, trolling was out of the question, and minnows where the bait of choice. It was cold and miserable on the water but we had a blast! Thanks for joining me on the water Steve. Cheers, Bryan Low
