My Favourite Panfish Rod

Are you looking for a new panfish rod that will allow you to jig with confidence or fish a float for crappie effectively? I have played around with lots of combinations this year and whether I am fishing for jumbo perch or slab crappies, the Fenwick HMG 6'0 medium light has the backbone necessary to set the hook on jumbos/slabs yet still has the sensitivity and lightness to feel the bites of smaller panfish. I pair it up with a Pflueger Supreme size 30 reel or a Plfueger President size 25 reel. This has also been a fun set up to catch Detroit River walleyes. I like to use 6 lb. Stealth braid as my main line and Trilene 100% Flourocarbon in 4 pound test as my leader material for panfish and 6 pound test fluorocarbon for the walleyes.
