Spring Newsletter
February Newsletter - Rodney's Reel Outdoors
WooHoo! Winter's almost over! We're still ice fishing but spring is in the air. Fly fishing
the mountain lakes, the Shuswap fishery, Kokanee & Bass fishing are just a few of the
fisheries we'll be targeting soon.
Ice Fishing
We're still ice fishing! March is a great time to ice fish and with the warmer weather approaching this makes for a comfortable days fishing. Included is a hot lunch of smokies on the BBQ and when Perch fishing a Perch fry right on the ice!
Shuswap Rainbows and Lakers
I know many of you have been waiting for spring 2016 on the Shu. I'm anticipating this fishery to be red hot as the Bows and Lakers will be feeding heavily on the Sockeye Smolts from 2014's huge Sockeye return. We've limited space so contact us today to book your date.
Fly Fishing
We start fly fishing our mountain lakes around mid April with excellent fishing until early July. The Rainbows feed heavily during the spring and this makes for some incredible days fishing for Rainbows to 5lbs. and larger.
Kokanee Fishing
Our Kokanee fishery also kicks off starting with the Wood lake opening on April 1st. This is a great way to spend time with family and friends catching some tasty freshwater Salmon. We also target Kokanee on Kalamalka, Okanagan & Skaha lakes.
Nootka Sound - Salmon & Halibut
This trip is already booked for 2016. I'm really pumped as we've again got an awesome group of guys this year. If you're looking for a Salmon trip in calm protected waters then Nootka is the place for you. Contact me today if you are interested in our 2017 trip.
