Purdy Ladies, Big Fish and lots of smiles!!!

We have had the boats out, every single day, and man has it been fun. Yes, we have had to keep an eye on the weather, but we are doing everything we can to keep everyone safe and smiling. Our 7 boats have been scattered all over the place, but luckily, the fishing has been great all over the place. Capt Ray has still had the hot hand with the triple tails, seeing more than any of our guides have. Capt Alex has been putting his new Tideline Catamaran all over the gulf. He has been dialed in on some really big trout. Capt Kenny is just as consistent as ever. No matter where that dude fishes, he always seem to land on a great catch. Capt Matt has been on quite a streak himself. Boy wonder has been working out of our Pass Christian dock a bunch this month. He has been doing extremely well on the trout and reds(what else is new). The big numbers award so far, probably has been to Capt Darren. Capt D has been putting his customers to work, and reaping big rewards on the trout. It is hard to keep up with Darren when is on a roll. A big part of what we have been doing is working closely together. Our guys try to stay in constant contact. Knowing where to go, is almost as important as knowing where NOT to go. With all the boats out, we have been able to cover a ton of water very quickly. This has been critical if we are having to move around weather, and beat the heat. There has been no "magic" spot for where we are fishing. It has been a great bite from Bayou Caddy, to the Bay, to the LA Marsh, to Cat Island. Some days you have to play the wind, and fish leeward sides to find the best water. Live bait has played a big part of what we have been doing. We normally use the live stuff to find the fish, and switch it over to the plastics when the bite gets rolling. The school trout have been suckers for the Boat Monkey Corks, 2-3 feet of 30lb leader, a 3/8 ounce jig head and a good soft plastic(Matrix or Savage Gear 3-D Shrimp). The bigger trout and red fish have been falling victim to the live bait under the Boat Monkeys or down deep on the Carolina rigs. With school getting out, we are very much looking forward to seeing the kiddos out on the boats with us. We hope those taking them out on their own boats, to be extra special careful. These summer time storms pack a punch, so please don't chance anything. If the weather is bad, or bad weather is on its way, stay your rear end at home. Make it about the kids, and the smiles. Please be courteous to other fisherman and boaters. This is the next generation, show them the proper way to do it. As always, have fun and be safe. ***SHORE THING FISHING CHARTERS*** ESTABLISHED IN 2003. The Largest inshore fishing company on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
