South Okanagan Guiding Report

While Covid put the guiding season off to a slow start, I've been making up for lost time lately. Skaha Lake has been hot lately. A typical half day (four hour) trip will see between 20 and 40 fish come to the boat with an average size of 1 to 2 pounds. A few bigger fish have been showing up with one on the last trip out tipping the scales at 3.86 lbs. Osoyoos Lake is picking up. While there has been a lot of boat traffic from rec boaters and salmon anglers, the bass don't mind. Our last trip out there saw 15 fish landed, with a top 5 in excess of 15 pounds. Three fish over 3 lbs were weighed, and a few even bigger got away (As they tend to). A recent club event by the Okanagan Bass Anglers saw a 4.25 lb largemouth take big fish, with the next 5 biggest all within a half pound. This lake has the potential to kick out 6 lb+ smallmouth and largemouth on any given day. To book a trip today, email me at [email protected] or follow Lake City Fishing on Facebook!
