Covid fishing - filming

Our 2017 show season got off to a different kind of start with Covid 19 front and centre on everyone's mind. I started off by taking green painters tape and marking the boat off in three foot sections although only our producer Shawn was going with me on the first trip. The tape did give us a guideline for distancing if and when we got back to having a guest. Any time the big motor was running we had masks on because we were closer than six feet. We had a day of firsts: 1. Tape for social distancing. 2. Masks 3. I slipped on a rock at the launch and ended up on my back in the water and fished wet for the first hour until the wind dried me off. 4. The lake was rough and Shawn changed position with the camera and we got hit sideways and he was going overboard with the camera. His back went into the Lowrance on the Ram mount and he caught the steering wheel on the way by. I got him back upright without losing anything. 5. No guest on board. It was one of the rougher days we had fished but we did get a bunch of fish. There were no big ones but the photo of Shawn is pretty representative of what we were catching. We were tucked in behind a point for the picture. It was a pretty mixed bag as far as baits went with fish coming on everything from top waters to drop shots during the day. Looking forward to getting back out there with a little less wind and hopefully a guest.
